This is my first entry into the latest CDAC Progressive Challenge #12 and this is such an awesome image from A Day For Daisies. The inside image was a freebie from ADFD site as well. I find the images drawn by Tammy Thompson are so calming and her lines just flow effortlessly. The sentiment is from (friendship sentiment set) Kaisercraft.
The image was colored using copics with glitter on the dresses. I pierced the edge of the white cardstock and embellished using a number of small pieces of glitter ribbon.

Sassy Nurse from Bugaboo is the perfect image to make the medicine go down for the males in your life. The image was colored using copics. The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I used Penny Duncan shaplies svg. for the frames and then pierced around the edge. I embossed white cardstock using a cuttlebug folder and added some old left over ribbon from my stash.

Tiddly Inks adorable Wryn image - New Nest makes me smile. I think she can represent every little girl. I colored her using copics and added glitter to the toes of her shoes(because my grandaughter has runners like that)and a dab on the barrette as well. I used K & Company designer paper , Martha Stewart border punched white cardstock. I used foam adhesives to pop out the sentiment on the front of the card and finished the card off with a ribbon and gems.

I used Sassy Cheryls' Serving Up Birthday cake and colored it with copics. Isn't she sweet? I added glitter to both the headband and the cake and added liquid glass to her shoes. The pink cardstock was ran through the cuttlebug to emboss. I used a cuttlebug die to make the corners.

I used one of Bugaboo Stamps Skelekinz image for my grandsons' Valentines card. The image was colored with copics with liquid glass added to the guitar and eye. As you can see I used the Steampunk heart cutting file from B Glad Papercrafts like in the previous post. This time I embossed all the cut out pieces in silver as well as the drywall tape. I added black cardstock along with dimensionals behind the pieces I wanted to make pop. I then added a touch of corrugated cardboard and screw brads.

This magnificent little girl digi( with bird) was a freebie from Saturated Canary. I just love this image. She was colored using copics. I made this easle card using a freebie cutting file as well. The Steampunk Heart card that was so kindly offered by B Glad Papercrafts. It is so easy to turn any shape into an easle.Some black cardstock was used on the back of some of the extra gears provided in the set. I cut closely around them to make them pop , added a rad and adhered them with dimensionals. All of the gears have liquid glass on them so they are very shiny. I finished the card off with a couple of bows and Voila!

My first entry into the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 11. The digi was provided by Whimsey & Stars Studio. I used copics to color the image, but unfortunately I must have printed on the wrong paper as you can see the colors bled. This is why I had to put a slight addition onto the house. Lesson Learned!! The designer paper is from K & Company and the sentiments are from Stampin Up "Sassy Suzie". Next time I visit my sister in law in Toronto she will be receiving this card. Tee Hee

I colored this awesome digital stamp, Pegasus from Delicious Doodles just slightly with copics(BG10). I then dotted the background (B00)to add just a little more depth without detracting from the image. I outlined the wings with clear star, gelly roll pen and then added a number of foil sticker flourishes. Designer paper is once again from K & Company. These are my favorite papers because the colors are so rich and vibrant. I used Close To my Heart stamps for the sentiment on the inner fold of the easle card as well as the base(dream)

This gorgeous cupid was a freebie a while back that I picked up from Scrappers Delights , the keys were a recent freebie from them as well. They have so many beautiful images. Cupid was colored using copics and the designer papr used was from K & Company.

I added liquid glass and gems to the interlocking hearts from Little Scraps of Heaven. The inside sentiment is a Studio G stamp.

Blowing Bubbles

Everybody knows what it is like to blow a bubble until it pops.This sweet little one by Sassy Cheryl knows her bubble is about to pop. I colored the image with Prisma Markers. The shimmer & sparkle paper is Recollections from Michaels Craft store. I used Martha Stewart border punch and the largest pearls I could find. I don't usually make so bright of a card, but It's Double Bubble. What can I say??

Get Well Monster

This fabulously adorable digital image is from Smeared Ink. In December my eldest son had open heart surgery and I realized that I did not have Get Well card suitable for a man, nor did I have the time or energy to make one. I guess you could say he was the inspiration for this card. The image was colored using copics. I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the red cardstock and then I heat embossed with silver embossing powder over top of that. The silver mesh is actually heat embossed drywall tape , and I finished it off with corrogated cardboard on the corners. Love the way it turned out and I might make a few more and stay prepared.

This is Angel, another one of my little scribbles and as usual I colored her using copics. I wasn't really sure what to use this digi for. The inside of this card is finished but without a sentiment. It could make a Christmas card I guess or maybe" Thanks Your an Angel" Hopefully it will just come to me. The glossy as well as the corrogated cardstock was bought individually at my local craft store. The flowers, branches and scalloped frame were cut on my cricut. I added a touch of glitter to the wings, belt and edge of my oval using a clear star gelly pen. These pens are amazingly easy to use and do not make a mess. Great for fine details.

This is just a silly little image that i drew a while back. For some reason I seem to be facinated by by monster-esk types of characters. I love the imperfections, crooked eyes and scars. ugly but cute at the same time. This was colored using copics with a little bit of faux stitching added. The sketch is from Sketches by Carly, designer paper K & Company and the little heart on the front is a cutting file from Designs on Cloud 9, I added liquid glass from Close to My Heart to add shine on the heart. I finished the card off with a strip of lace. I decided not to use a sentiments inside and opted to leave it blank so I can write a note in it instead.

My first entry into the Crafters Digital Art Centre Progressive Challenge # 10. These challenges have become a big part of my inspiration to make cards, of course it doesn't hurt to have fabulous free digi images provided as well. This is another wonderful image from one of my favorite stamp sites, Bugaboo Stamps. The inside sentiment is from Bethany at Elegant Word Art 2. I found her site by accident and fell in love with her amazing work. Happy Valentines is just a dollar stamp from Michaels. I used pink designer paper from DCWV and brown designer paper from K & C Company because I love this color combination pink & brown. The button & ribbon embellishments are Close To My Heart products. The image was colored in copics with a touch of liquid glass for her eyeglasses.

This charming image from Mo's Digital pencil was my first choice to make a birthday card for my daughter in law. She loves everything and anything about animals. I love everything about Tiddly Inks images. They have just the right combination of quirky, cute and amusing images. I chose flower girl , she is one of my favorite images from Tiddly Inks and colored her using copics. The designer paper is Black & Ivory from K & C Company. Holy cow I think this Bugaboo image is cute and I really like the sketch this week from Sketches by Carly. I made this card for my nephews' new addition to his family. The image is from one of my favorite digi stores, bugaboo stamps. I colored the image using copics, embossed with a cuttlebug folder and embellished with i-rocks, ribbon and a little drywall tape. Unfortunately I didn't clean it up very well, it looks like I left GLUE BOOGER!! on the tape. I should remove it and re-post the photo but I decided it kind of adds to the ambiance of a male baby card. Ha! Ha!

Once again I used a Stella image from Bugaboo to make a Christmas card. The designer paper is from DCVW"Tis the Season" paper pack. The red cardstock was embossed with a cuttlebug folder. Stella image was colored with copics and embellished with stickles and flower soft. The card was finished off with 4 i-rock studs and a gold mesh ribbon. The inside was stamped lightly with Santa face.

Stuck In The Chimney!

For my first entry into the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 9, I choose Crafty Ann's Santa Stuck in the Chimney image. I love using Snow globes to make shaker cards. I used prisma markers to color the image and used flower soft for the snow. Embellished with cardstock ribbons, Cuttlebug corner die and a buckle. Very simple and very quick.

Star Ornaments

These ornaments are examples of some of the wonderful free digital stamps from Tiddly Inks. They were actually one of the first ones I ever received. I used all white cardstock . The base was embossed using a cuttlebug folder and I used spellbinders die for the shapes around the images as well as the platform they are sitting on. Foam board was used under the platform to give it plenty of depth and I added dimensionals to the middle image as well. The snowflakes were cut on my cricut. For embellishments I added glitter using stickles and glitter pens and gold pen for the border and top of the ornaments and finished the card off with 6 little pearls and a strip of silver ribbon.

I'm not too sure what happened to this post, but for some reason I did not have it entered properly in the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 8. Here it is again . I just noticed it now so I hope it makes it into the challenge before it closes. Image from Just Some Lines was colored with copics. The doghouse and dog dish is from a close to My Heart stamp set"BEST FRIEND DOGGIE". I used dimensionals to pop up the dog. I used a cuttlebug folder for the background cardstock. Finished it off with sticker rhinestones.

Here's Stella! Don't we all have a Stella in our lives? Come to think of it I can relate to Stella. He He Designer paper DCWV "Tis the Season" paper pack. I love my Skelekinz from Bugaboo stamps. This is the first time I have used this particular image and I think she is adorable. This is also the first time I have used this spellbinders die. I colored the image with copics and added a bit of sparkle to the ribbon & bow using a gelly roll Stardust pen. I used double sided tape and sprinkled on black glitter for added bling . The silver cardstock was embossed using a cuttlebug folder as well as the inside embossed embellishment. I used the Helens sketch from The Unused Stash Challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge Blog for my inspiration.

I just love the Make it Snappy digi stamps at Bugaboo they seem to have something for every occasion and November is a very busy Birthday month for me. The image was colored with copics and mounted using dimensionals. I doodled with glitter pens on the green cardstock. The doodling might have looked a little better had I centered the image as planned, but of course I changed my mind last minute. Red cardstock was embossed using Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder. I finished the card off with 4 i-rock sparkle studs and a little Close to My Heart ribbon.

I used this image from Tiddly Inks as my Grandson loves anything Harry Potter. Image was colored with copics. Dimensionals were used to raise image. The black paper is a velvet paper that I embossed on my cuttlebug. (My son bought me this paper from an art store so I don't know what it is called. I love the look of it however I know it was very expensive so I use it sparingly) I embellished it with Metal Mesh, screw brads as well as a broom sticker from a Recollections set.

I made this little monster card using a digi stamp from Stamp Fairy.

This card was made for a boys birthday card however it could easily be made into a girls card as well just by changing the color and adding a little bow on the monsters bump. "Monsters are very versatile"

I used my cuttlebug birthday folder for the lime card stock and added 2 cuttlebug die cuts. The glitter paper is from Reflections. Sentiments from Hero Arts.

This is a Sassy Studio (Sassy Vampire) however I thought she also would make a great hero so I colored her in pink using copics in honor of breast Cancer Survivors. Delicious doodles carries a number of devilish stamps like this one. You can't help but be fascinated by the artwork, I know have been a follower for a while now. This image is another one of the free digitals offered in the CDAC ProgressiveChalleng # 4. My background cardstock was embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder. I used magic mesh and 3 silver brads on one cardstock piece and embossed a piece of Close to My Heart foil for the other side wrapped with a scrap piece of black ribbon around it.

When I first saw this image on the CDAC Progressive Challenge I envisioned it as a bobblehead. It is a Bonibleaux Designs Digital Stamp freebie provided for Challenge #4 at Crafters Digital Art Centre. It was colored with copics. I used Echo Park reversible designer paper. The web was a Penny Duncan SVG cutting file.

I have needed to make a wedding card for a while now and this Make it Snappy stamp by Bugaboo had just what I needed. I used white and black cardstock. It's hard to see it but the centre of the card was lifted off the embossed cardstock using foam board. The white background was embossed with a cuttlebug folder. I added a touch of red as well as a little glitter to the dress. Then I used a ribbon bow and some tiny black buttons to finish it off

I wish snow was as much fun as it looks here, Unfortunately living in Canada means I get to experience it first hand and I am not a big fan!! I used this image from Stamp Fairy, Barry Winter. The cut mittens just look like something that goes with snowballs, I actually made them with my old colluzle. It's not something that gets used much anymore. I used Reflections glitter paper and k-i memories designer paper. Although I didn't have to do too much coloring I used copics, and with a glitter pen I added a touch of sparkle to both the snow and snowballs. The inside digi was a freebie a while back from Stamp Fairy and the sentiment is from the Say It With Spirit acrylic stamp set from Michaels.

In the latest Wacky Wednesday # 20 The challenge was to find inspiration from gypsyville.com. In my browse I noticed a lot of vibrant colors as well as old or weathered things. I also noticed a little boy in a cowboy hat, so I guess that is what inspired me to do this card.

The image is one of the cowboy stamps from Bugaboo .I used navy cardstock along with Heidi Grace designer paper. I used distressing ink as well as a little scrapping to make the cardstock look old. added a little ribbon, cardboard and drywall tape.

I made this little Gift pouch using the pear digi stamp from A Day for Daisies. It was a freebie that was part of one of their fabulous new releases. I colored the pear with copics. The designer paper is from K & Company. There is dimensionals added to the bottom of the image square only.To open and close the pouch the top flap tucks under the stamped image.

On the inside there is a thank you note, on the reverse
of the note is a tea bag, after you remove the bag it can be
used as a bookmark as well.

There is two pockets on the inside , one for the tea and thank you, the other for a gift card

For my first contribution to the CDAC Progressive Challenge 3, I choose this beautiful image from Just Inklined. This image makes me think of the beginning of fall, I guess because of the sunflower and the way the leaf is starting to go brown. I colored the image with copics, pieced together a quilt type background(a great way to use up little scraps of designer paper). I used black as my contrast color to help make the image pop. Distressed ink was used on the edges of the designer papers. I used ribbon around the center and added 6 pearls.

I made this card for a silver anniversary. The image Kisses For My Sweet is from Mo's digital Pencil. Because the Gentleman is in a tux I thought it only fitting that the womans was dressed for the occasion as well, so I gave her dress a little silver glam . I embossed the red cardstock with my cuttlebug and then I heat embossed silver on the raised hearts. I added a strip of silver paper backing it in black to make it pop. I cut and used white foam board from Michaels instead of dimentionals because the image is large and I didn't want it to warp if there is any presure on it.

Most often we make cards for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas etc. In the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge this week we were to make a card"Just Because"and I thought"What a fantastic idea!!" I made my card with the very sweet bugaboo stamp Big Bow Sitter, colored with copics. The top & bottom layers of designer paper is from the Que Serra Serra collection K&Company. I added a black layer behind the heart and then added the Bow Sitter with black layer behind it as well. Dimensionals were added behind the heart along with a ribbon and bow. Can't help but love these digis as I have a couple of these old trunks myself. I thought I'd use this bookmark for someone either going on a trip or maybe even someone coming to see me for a visit. There are many possibilities.

I used the "gonna miss you" stamp and the suitcase stamp from Tiddly Inks, colored them with copics and used distressing ink around the edges . I added corrogated board as well as drywall tape and large brads to each side of the bookmark.

The ribbon is used to attach both sides together so they can drape over the pages. This type of bookmark makes it very hard to loose your place and I really hate loosing my place!

This is something I wanted to try on this stamp for awhile and Mo's challenge has motivated me to do so. The white base was embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder. I raised the framed image using a white colored foam board bought at Michaels Crafts ( I don't like using dimensionals on large images as I think they are easier to damage) and then I dotted a blue background to make the image pop.

I am using this card for two challenges THE SOUTHERN GIRLS Black & White Challenge, as well as DO YOU STACK UP Embossing Challenge. As you can see I used black & white with a touch of pink. I embossed with the Cuttlebug then heat embossed over that with black sparkle embossing powder and wrapped it with ruffled lace & sequin ribbon.

This card is using a very versitile digi stamp from Sassy Studio Design. (1 of 3 of the cards I have already made using this stamp ) In this challenge they asked to make a birthday themed card using the August Birthsone color Peridot. I used a pink base with K & C Company patterned adhesive paper and added just a touch of sparkle to it along with a light bow.

Another skelekinz stamp by Bugaboo. I used the color combination of turqouise, kraft and vanilla. I distressed all edges well as using distressing ink. The little bit of cardboard was added for texture.

Made this card for the latest Stamp Fairy Sketch Challenge. This is as cute as a Skull can get. I think this card is funny(in a Quirky sorta way) I just hope the recipient has a really good sense of humor. He! He!
