80th Birthday!!

I made this card for a very special Aunt on her 80th Birthday. The lovely flapper image is from Free Vintage Digital stamps.  A touch of color was added to the headband before I adhered the glass beads over the image.

Designer paper is K & Company, love the pretty pastel pink.  Butterflies were cut on my Silhouette Cameo and covered in pearlized smooch and then glossy accents. The gothic stained glass window die is from Poppystamps.  A triple bow was tied around Recollections glass flower embellishments to finish the card off.

Inner card was designed to pop up a gift card.
The sentiment was stamped using a  Hero arts stamp.

I used the same double sided designer paper from K& Company for my doily top box. Box is a Samantha Walker design from the Silhouette store.

Outer box finished off with tags and bow.

 April 1st – June 30th (midnight PST).
The Challenge Inspiration is...

This stunning dragonfly image is from the  Priscilla Styles Store. I love all the fine details in this image. As usual I colored using my copic markers.  A few things you can't see are the colored underside of the wings as well as the added liquid glass to the body and pearlized smooch to the top of the wings
Adhesive was added to the body, and the wings seem to stick up naturally. Designer paper  is K & Company. I embellished with silver gems and sewn edges. The sewing is not great because I used an old machine with a broken feed dog. Oh well it will give a little character to the card.

Over the Rainbow

The sentiment and digital image were graciously provided by Back to Paper for the Crafters Digital Art Centers Progressive Freebie challenge now going on.  The image was colored using copics.  This card is as simple as you can get. It is simply 3 layers of white cardstock.  I outlined the image layer in red, a slightly larger layer in blue and then of course the card base.
I really hope you have a chance to visit Crafters Digital Art Center and check out the ongoing challenges. Have an awesome day!!

Where's the Beef

I thought his image from Patti's Digital Creations was so cute just the way he is I didn't want to overwhelm the image with embellishments so I kept it clean and simple. I colored the image using copics and framed it with a Spellbinder die cut.
The designer paper is Moments - Family ties. One the inside I simply shrunk the image. I plan on giving this to a friend that collects anything that has cows on it.

This is my first entry into the new CDAC Progressive Challenge that is running from April to June 2013. This time it is a little bit different from our previous progressive challenges, you will be able to receive 4 free digital stamps for entering.
Once you have entered your project made using the first free image you may then request  your 2nd image. You would then repeat this to claim Image Set #3 and then again for Image#4. You have three months to create and request these images. Hope you are able to come join us. Everyone is a winner!!
This image from Nana Vic Digitals will be the first image you will receive. I colored this image using copics and a Pen-touch silver fine pen with glossy accents to give the look of raindrops . The designer papers used are from  K & Company.  The red cardstock frame is a Spellbinder die. I embellished with silver I-Rock stud raindrops.

I just typed the Inner sentiment in Microsoft Word.

The card was made for Seasonal Fun Challenge at CDAC

What is the 'season' in your area?
Is it blistering hot or is there snow on the ground?
What happens April - June in your location?

Yes I live in Alberta, Canada where there is still a lot of snow and our forcast for this week is MORE snow. ARGG!
This adorable little bear and sentiment are from Stamp Fairy and colored using copic markers. The all white octagon card, snowflake frame  and bow were cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I used a touch of glitter to the snowballs and that is it.
