Happy Easter1

I love Easle cards. They are so easy to make and you can use any shape. This sweet  image is from Sassy Cheryl and was colored using copics. The designer paper is K & Company. 

I adhered the image off centre and off the base heart to give the appearance that she is standing when the card is open.

I used dimensionals to pop up the Happy Easter heart,  then tied a gauze ribbon around it,  added flowers and adorned them with Recollections adhesive Rhinestones . 

The flowers are from my stash( I usually make a number of them at a time and keep them on hand)

Love Your Life

I used another one of Mo Mannings sensational images " Mummu " for this card. I just love the way her Characters come to life on cards.  Mummu was colored using copics . The designer paper I chose for this twisted easle card is from  K & Company. I used a Spellbinder Die for the frames, the flourish as well as the rolled roses were cut using  Penny Duncan SVG's. Sentiments by Cornish Heritage Farms

Molly, Flowers and Butterflies

This sweet digi stamp is from Stamp Fairy and I thought  this  rocker card would provide the perfect perch for her. (Very simple to make using scalloped circles folded in half for base, then another slightly smaller scalloped circle with hole in the centre.) The image was colored using copics.  I used K & Company Designer paper and embellished with a few flowers , a butterfly and a ribbon. Then completed the card by piercing around the edges.

This is my entry into the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 14. This awesome  image is from A Day for Daisies and was colored using copics. I embellished this card with I-Rock studs, some scrap ribbons and some of my quilled flowers I made a while back.  I made this into a rocker card, for obvious reasons and plan on using it for an Easter card.

My first entry into CDAC Progressive Challenge # 13 . This digi from LiaStampz reminds me of my grandchildren who dragged along their favorite stuffed animal everywhere they went.What a beating those poor stuffies took. The image was colored with copics . The little colored window stickers were bought from the dollar years ago.

This is my first entry into the latest CDAC Progressive Challenge #12 and this is such an awesome image from A Day For Daisies. The inside image was  a freebie from ADFD site as well. I find the images drawn by Tammy Thompson are so calming and her lines just flow effortlessly. The sentiment is from (friendship sentiment set) Kaisercraft.
The image was colored using copics with glitter on the dresses. I pierced the edge of the white cardstock and embellished using a number of small pieces of glitter ribbon.

SPEEDY RECOVERY

Sassy Nurse from Bugaboo is the perfect image to make the medicine go down for the males in your life. The image was colored using copics. The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I used Penny Duncan shaplies svg. for the frames and then pierced around the edge. I embossed white cardstock using a cuttlebug folder  and added some old left over ribbon from my stash.

New Nest

Tiddly Inks adorable Wryn image - New Nest makes me smile. I think she can represent every little girl. I colored her using copics and added glitter to the toes of her shoes(because my grandaughter has runners like that)and a dab on the barrette as well. I used K & Company designer paper , Martha Stewart border punched white cardstock. I used  foam adhesives to pop out the sentiment on the front of the card and finished the card off with a ribbon and gems.

Cake Anyone?

I used  Sassy Cheryls' Serving Up Birthday cake and colored it with copics. Isn't she sweet? I added glitter to both the headband and the cake and added liquid glass to her shoes. The pink cardstock was ran through the cuttlebug to emboss.  I used a cuttlebug die to make the corners.

You Rock My World

I used one of Bugaboo Stamps Skelekinz image for my  grandsons'  Valentines card.  The image was colored with copics with liquid glass added to the guitar and eye.  As you can see I used the Steampunk heart cutting file from B Glad Papercrafts like in the previous post.  This time I embossed all the cut out pieces in silver as well as the drywall tape. I added black cardstock along with dimensionals behind the pieces I wanted to make pop. I then added a touch of corrugated cardboard and screw brads.

Everything Your Heart Desires

This magnificent little girl digi( with bird) was a freebie from  Saturated Canary. I just love this image. She was colored using copics. I made this easle card  using a freebie cutting file as well. The Steampunk Heart  card that was so kindly offered by B Glad Papercrafts. It is so easy to turn any shape into an easle.Some black cardstock was used on the back of some of the extra gears provided in the set. I cut closely around them to make them pop , added a rad and adhered them with  dimensionals. All of the gears have liquid glass on them so they are very shiny. I finished the card off with a couple of bows and Voila!

This is my second card in the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 11. This is an image from Happy Scrappin Doodles. The image was colored with copics, the designer paper is K & Company. Very simple card to make. I used a Stampin up punch for the window. The sentiment stamp is from Close To My Heart "Welcome to the Neighborhood"

Thanks For The Hospitality

My first entry into the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 11. The digi was provided by Whimsey & Stars Studio.  I used copics to color the image, but unfortunately I must have printed on the wrong paper as you can see the colors bled. This is why I had to put a slight addition onto the house. Lesson Learned!! The designer paper is from K & Company and the sentiments are from Stampin Up  "Sassy Suzie". Next time I visit my sister in law in Toronto she will be receiving this card. Tee Hee

Dream

I colored this awesome digital stamp, Pegasus from Delicious Doodles just slightly with copics(BG10).  I then  dotted the background (B00)to add just a little more depth without detracting from the image. I outlined the wings with  clear star, gelly roll pen and then added a number of foil sticker flourishes. Designer paper is once again from K & Company. These are my favorite papers because the colors are so rich and vibrant. I used Close To my Heart stamps for the sentiment on the inner fold of the easle card as well as the base(dream)

This gorgeous cupid was a freebie a while back that I picked up from Scrappers Delights , the keys were a recent freebie from them as well.  They have so many beautiful images. Cupid was colored using copics and the designer papr used was from K & Company.

I added liquid glass and gems to the interlocking hearts  from Little Scraps of Heaven.  The inside sentiment is a Studio G stamp.

Blowing Bubbles

 Everybody knows what it is like to blow a bubble until it pops.This sweet little one by Sassy Cheryl knows her bubble is about to pop.  I colored the image with Prisma Markers. The shimmer & sparkle paper is Recollections from Michaels Craft store. I used Martha Stewart border punch and the largest pearls I could find. I don't usually make so bright of a card, but It's Double Bubble. What can I say??

Get Well Monster

This fabulously adorable digital image is  from Smeared Ink. In December my eldest son had open heart surgery and I realized that I did not have Get Well  card suitable for a man, nor did I have the time or energy to make one. I guess you could say he was the inspiration for this card. The image was colored using copics. I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the red cardstock and then I heat embossed with silver embossing powder over top of that. The silver mesh is actually heat embossed drywall tape , and I finished it off with corrogated cardboard on the corners. Love the way it turned out and I might make a few more and stay prepared.

Angel

This is Angel,  another one of my little scribbles and as usual I colored her using copics. I wasn't really sure what to use this digi for. The inside of this card is finished but without a sentiment. It could make a Christmas card I guess or maybe" Thanks Your an Angel" Hopefully it will just come to me. The glossy as well as the corrogated cardstock was bought individually at my local craft store. The flowers, branches and scalloped frame were cut on my cricut. I added a touch of glitter to the wings, belt and edge of my oval using a clear star gelly pen. These pens are amazingly easy to use and do not make a mess. Great for fine details.

i Love You

This is just a silly little image that i drew a while back. For some reason I seem to be facinated by by monster-esk types of characters. I love the imperfections, crooked eyes and scars. ugly but cute at the same time. This was colored using copics with a little bit of faux stitching added. The sketch is from Sketches by Carly, designer paper  K & Company and the little heart on the front is a cutting file from Designs on Cloud 9, I added liquid glass from Close to My Heart to add shine on the heart.  I finished the card off with a strip of lace. I decided not to use a sentiments inside and opted to leave it blank so I can write a note in it instead.

My second entry into the CDAC Progressive Challenge # 10. This  quirky image is a provided freebie for the challenge and is from Just Inked. I think this digi  will make any man smile, even if you did forget his birthday. OOPS! I colored using copics,  ink distressed the edges, added corrugated cardboard and drywall tape, these are staples in my stash. I finished it off with 5 i-rocks.

All I Need is Love

My first entry into the Crafters Digital Art Centre Progressive Challenge # 10.  These challenges have become a big part of my inspiration to make cards, of course it doesn't hurt to have fabulous free digi images provided as well. This is another wonderful image from one of my favorite stamp sites, Bugaboo Stamps. The inside sentiment is from Bethany at Elegant Word Art 2. I found her site by accident and fell in love with her amazing work. Happy Valentines is just a dollar stamp from Michaels. I used pink  designer paper from DCWV  and brown designer paper from K & C Company because I love this color combination pink & brown. The button & ribbon embellishments are Close To My Heart products. The image was colored in copics with a touch of liquid glass for her eyeglasses.

 This charming image from Mo's Digital pencil was my first choice to make a birthday card for my daughter in law. She loves everything and anything about animals. The designer paper is from K&Company from the Abbrianna paper pack. I used a spellbinder die some pink ribbon as well as 3 small imaginisce studs. So quick and so simple.

I am entering this card into the Tiddly Inks Blog Hop Challenge. It is a one day only challenge and I hope there will be lots of entries( I can always use new ideas) Come join in!!  I love everything about Tiddly Inks images. They have just the right combination of quirky, cute and amusing images.  I chose flower girl , she is one of my favorite images from Tiddly Inks and colored her using copics. The designer paper is Black & Ivory from K & C Company. I used a Spellbinder die to frame the image , three little bright pink stick on roses and ribbon to complete the card. I wanted the image to be the focus of the card so I kept it pretty simple.

Holy cow I think this Bugaboo  image is cute and I really like the sketch this week from Sketches by Carly. The designer paper is out of the Four Seasons stack from DCWV as well as a little scrap of Close to My Heart paper. The embellishments I added are old drywall tape, old pieces of corrogated board ( I always keep both on hand  in my stash), a corner cuttlebug die and 3 imaginisce studs.

Pooperman

I made this card for my nephews' new addition to his family. The image is from one of my favorite digi stores, bugaboo stamps. I colored the image using copics, embossed with a cuttlebug folder and embellished with i-rocks, ribbon and a little drywall tape. Unfortunately I didn't clean it up very well, it looks like I left GLUE BOOGER!! on the tape. I should remove it and re-post the photo but I decided it kind of adds to the ambiance of a male baby card. Ha! Ha!
